Hi there, Jan Donaldson here and I wanted to let you know that I moved a month ago to Duncan [behind the hospital] and I love my new place. I’ll be here for 6 months while the owner is out of town. 3 floors of studio…yeaaaa… finally some space to be creative.
My hours are by chance or by appointment as always and there is a parking space right in front of my door for guests as well as 3 more guest parking spots just past my place and to the left. Yeaaa finally easy parking again.

Yes our 2 day Fundraiser “Harbour City Blues” is on this weekend. $30 will buy you a 2 day pass! $20 will get you in the gate on either Saturday or Sunday. We have 15 acts scheduled as noted below. So if you think about it… a $30 weekend pass will give you 15 hours of unbelievable blues. What a bargain. Oh yeah, children under 12 are free with a paid admission.
However we are in a fund raising mode this year. So a limited amount of sponsorship opportunities are still available. So here’s the skinny! Sponsor an act/performer/band for $100 and you will be eligible for a 2 day pass for 2 people. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy knowing that you are contributing to the ongoing success of the Nanaimo Blues Society. Saturday Night is an after-hours celebration at the Foundry Pub right across the street from Maffeo Sutton Park. Admission is free for patrons of the “Harbour City Blues If you can’t make the “Harbour City Blues” on Saturday but have time in the evening, venture down to the Foundry. Admission for non-event patrons is $6.00 Lots of live music and a chance to win 2 Tickets to Joe Walsh in Victoria on Tuesday August 28th.
Looks like the weather is going to cooperate with temps in the low 20’s. So plan to attend our fundraiser. Enjoy the music, the food vendors and the artisans. Lets make this a real family event and involve the younger folks in the “Blues”.

I’m so pleased to again be a part of the Thirsty thursday Blues Jam at “ Muddy Waters Marine Pub” in Nanaimo with my clothing with “Renovation Blues Band” hosting.
